Julie Pirkle
I'm a freelance writer and editor based in California's Central Valley.
Writing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I entered writing contests in elementary school, served as a reporter for both my high school and college newspapers and even did an internship for my hometown newspaper in Santa Clarita. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and hold a B. S. degree in Journalism with a concentration in News-Editorial.
Before embarking on a freelance writing career so I could devote more time to my family, I had the opportunity to put my editorial and public relations skills to work in a variety of industries, including writing and editing for travel publications, an educational multimedia company and high-profile restaurant and nightclub on the world-famous Santa Monica Pier.
I continue to offer my writing and editorial services to clients on a contract basis. I have worked on editorial and social media marketing prodcuts with a diverse clientele, including Suzuki, Ticketmaster, American Gem Society, Speedo, Del Monte, Cars.com, Klondike, Pacific Merchants, Preschool Rock, Kidzui, The Mommies Network, and the Ad Council.
